TV Industry

 

For this section we will look at 3 contemporary TV texts:  

• Stranger Things (2016)

• Luthur (2012)

• The Walking Dead (2010)

 

We will analyse each of the TV programs in depth and be able to discuss:

• how each of them follow genre conventions,

• their  narrative structures

• the representation issues and how these have been mediated

• how the text relates to the industry in terms of background context, production, distribution, marketing and global implications.

• who the target audience is, how the target audience been positioned, how the audience have responded to the text and any debates caused.
