Film Industry

 

For this section we will look at 3 contemporary film texts:  

• Spectre (2015)

• Paddington (2014)

• The Hunger Games (2012)

 

Previous case studies include:

• Skyfall (2012)

• The Dark Knight (2008)

 

We will analyse each of the films indepth and be able to discuss:

• how each of them follow genre conventions,

• their  narrative structures

• the representation issues and how these have been mediated

• how the text relates to the industry in terms of background context, production, distribution, marketing and global implications.

• who the target audience is, how the target audience been positioned, how the audience have responded to the text and any debates caused.
