Year 10 Home Learning - Action Adventure Spring 1
During November and December you will be expected to spend at approximately an hour each week to developing your understanding of the topic being studied in class.
This work will run alongside your controlled assessment topic and will form the basis for your coursework.
Week 1: Clip analysis
Watch the clip from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
•Comment on the narrative structure of the clip – apply Todorov’s theory.
•Comment on the different character types that you can see. Are they stereotypes? Apply Propp’s theory.
•Are these conventional of the genre? Consider Neale's Theory "Genres are instances of repetition and difference"

Week 6: Revision booklet
Create a revision booklet to summarise everything you have learned.
It needs to include everything you need for Section A
Q1 - Codes and Conventions (Genre knowledge/Narrative/Charatcers - theories)
Q2 - Micro-elements (Mise-en-scene, camerawork, editing and sound)
Q3 - Representation (stereotypes, countertypes and theories)
