In Year 10 we begin by learning about Media Language and how to analyse it in depth to identify the effect on the audience.

We then move onto the first of our two coursework portfolios (B321) before Christmas.  This will focus on how teenagers are represented in teen drama films.  You will be required to analyse these films and write a 800 - 1500 word essay about them. you will then apply this knowledge when you create your own teen drama posters and evaluate them in comparison to exisiting products.

The Summer term is dedicated to our second coursework portfolio (B324), where you will learn about the codes and conventions that exist in music videos and recreate your own, displaying evidence of the conventions you identified in your research and you will also demonstrate clear links to theory.
